Gen. Dahlan Al Hamad met His Excellency Danial Akhmetov, President of Kazakhstan Athletics Federation, on 28 May 2021 during the Doha Diamond League. His Excellency was accompanied by his Vice President, Mr Almaskhan Smatlayev, General Secretary, Mr Askhat Seisembek and Council Member Mr Denis Rypakov.
During the meeting, His Excellency presented a detailed progress report of the Asian Indoor Athletics Championship 2022 scheduled in Kazakhstan to Gen. Dahlan for his review. H.E. Danial Akhmetov also highlighted the indoor stadium, designed as per the World Athletics criteria and his intention to conduct the Championship spectacularly and to be one of the best achieved by Asian AA.
Gen. Dahlan was impressed with the World Class facilities, the preparations and progress. He wished the Kazakhstan Federation a successful Championships and thanked His Excellency for his incredible determination and vision. He also thanked H.E. Danial and his Delegates for their visit to Qatar.
