Final day of 4th Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2022 in Kuwait.

For four days, young athletes from all over 30 countries from Asia have been competing in the 4th Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2022 in Kuwait. It was a long journey for each of them, they have showed how strong they are prepared, and their best during the championship.

During the first three, it was very impressive to observe motivation and strength of Asian juniors under 18, and the final day was not an exception. During the morning session, girls have participated in the last three rounds of heptathlon, while on the evening others have been identifying the winner in 10 different disciplines.

Indian boys, Atul (56.23) and Servan K C (55.91) got the gold and silver medal, respectively in the discus throw, and the bronze one was obtained Djibrine Adoum D Ahmat (53.75) from Qatar.

Long Jump, boys

  1. ABDULLAH ALAZEMI (KUW) – 7.34 m
  2. SIRAPHOB BUNYUAK (THA) – 7.11 m
  3. PAK YU YIU (HKG) – 7.00 m

Running discipline by itself is very interesting sport, however, 2000 m steeplechase is also deserved as fascinating discipline in track & field. Among the boys the first who has crossed the finish line was Mustafa Mohsin Al-Khaz from Iraq, with the result 5:59.48. Meanwhile, among the girls, the one who got the golden medal was Usmanova Dilshoda from Uzbekistan, by finishing the distance in 6:55.41.

200 m, boys

  1. PURIPOL BOONSON (THA) – 21.53 sec.
  2. YAQOUB ALAZEMI (KUW) – 21.55 sec.
  3. PENGIRAN AIDIL AUF BIN HA (MAS) – 21.65 sec.

200 m, girls

  1. VALENTIN VANESA LONTEN (INA) – 24.06 sec.
  2. ATHICHA PHETKUN (THA) – 24.48 sec.
  3. TSZ TO LI (HKG) – 24.79 sec.

Moreover, the last day of the championship will be remembered as how the teamwork supposed to work, and Medley Relay is a good example for it. Winners among the boys are the national team from India, and among the girls the winners are also national team from India.

Pole Vault, girls

  1. MARIA ANDRIANI MELABESS (INA) – 3.90 m
  2. VANSHIKA GHANGHAS (IND) – 3.70 m
  3. MANSUROVA JASMINA (UZB) – 3.60 m

Shot Put, girls

  1. CHING-YUAN CHIANG (TPE) – 17.82 m
  2. PARK SOJIN (KOR) – 16.89 m
  3. ELAHEH ALIZADEH (IRI) – 14.92 m

For two days, girls have been competing in 7 different disciplines, to identify who is the strongest in heptathlon. Considering all the results, Alina Chistyakova from Kazakhstan, who obtained 4737 points, won the golden medal of 4th Asian Youth Athletics Championship. 

Four days of competition, four days of celebration, four days of motivation for future championships, this is how 4thAsian Youth Athletics Championship in Kuwait went. For some athletes it was full of victories, and for some of them it was a great lesson for future.

But it is not the end, the 5th Asian Youth Athletics Champions is going to be held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) in April. See you there!
