Maybe not today maybe not tomorrow, but they are going to be champions one day! Third day of 4th Asian U18 Athletics Championship in Kuwait

4th Asian U18 Athletics Championship which is held in Kuwait introduced to us new faces of the future track & field. Winners were determined in as many as 10 disciplines. Athletes identified who is the fastest, who is the strongest.

During the first two days of championships, boys were competing in decathlon, but now it is for girls to show who is the best one in the heptathlon. On this day, they participated for four rounds, and each of them wanted to keep the leader position.

Moreover, in the morning session the winner of “hammer throw” discipline was identified. Mahdi Haft Cheshmeh from Iran with result 68.30m won the gold medal. However, with very close result as 67.03m  Mohd Aman from India got the silver medal. And the bronze went to Ali Alhendal (64.90 m) from Kuwait 

Triple jump, girls

1) Davronova Sharifa (UZB) -13.23 m
2) Shavkatova Khushnoza (UZB) – 12.23 m
3) Divyasri (IND) – 12.15 m

Javelin throw, girls

1) Pin-hsun Chu (TPE) – 52.70 m
2)
 Deepika (IND) – 50.15 m
3) Yang Seokju (KOR) – 48.61 m

High jump, boys

1) Choi Jinwoo (KOR) – 2.21 m
2) Edirisingha Siriwardanalage Deneth Anuhas (SRI) – 2.01 m
3) Gammanage Lesandu Arthavidu (SRI) – 1.97 m

Evening session was full of running disciplines, such as 400m hurdles, 800m and 3000m. The fastest girl in 400m distance with hurdles was Nazaninftemeh Eidiyankakhaki from Uzbekistan, while Anastassiya Koloda (KAZ) and Bo-an Yi (TPE) shared second and third places, respectively.

The fastest athletes of each country competed, to identify who is the fastest in Asia in other two distances 3000m and 800m. For 3000m distance, the first boy who crossed the finish line was Abdikani Hamid representative from Bahrain, with result 8:35.76 sec., while among the girls, the winner was Arina Gladysheva (10:09.76 sec) fromKazakhstan. However, 800m is the very intriguing distance, athletes have shown great and very close results. Our juniors have what to show for Worldwide Track & Field. This time, the fastest boy was Mohamadhesam Mozafari(1:53.30) from Iran, and the fastest girls was Ashakiran Barla (2:06.79) from India 

Only one day left until the last race of 4th Asian U18 Athletics Championship and closing ceremony. On the last day of competition there is chance to see and enjoy the final rounds of heptathlon among the girls, discus throw, long jump, shot put, 200m race, medley relay and other disciplines.
