Beijing, Aug 30, 2015 – IAAF World Championship was succesfully concluded in Beijing, capital city of PR of China which also hosted successful 2008 Summer Olympic Games. On August 22, IAAF awarded Mr. Xi Jinping, President of PR of China with “IAAF Golden Order of Merit” in the presence of IAAF president and Vice Presidents including Dahlan Al-hamad, President of AAA who was re-elected as IAAF vice president.
Host China concluded the campaign with highest ever medal tally in the World Championship by winning total 9 medals, one more than 1993 edition. Total 5 Asian countries ( CHN, JPN, TJK, BRN and KAZ) figured in the final medal tally. Total three new Asian records were set during the championship.
Next World championship will be held in London in 2017.
