Aug 01, 2015 – IAAF, World governing body of Athletics will see change of guards in the forthcoming election ahead of the IAAF World Championship in Athletics in Beijing, China. Prospective candidates has been rallying around the World to gather support for their candidature.
All eyes will be on the result of the President post which is being contested between two legendary athletes Seb Coe of United Kingdom and Sergey Bubka of Ukraine.
214 member federations will also elect IAAF Council which govern the sport. “It is my priority to ensure interest of Asia and Asian candidates are represented well in the new team of IAAF”, said Dahlan Al-Hamad, President of AAA who is in Pitesti, Romania to attend the Balkan Championships.
