China dominate Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2017

Bangkok, 24 May 2017: China topped medal tally of the 2nd Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2017 held at National Stadium Bangkok with a total of 30 medals ( 16 G, 9 S, 5 S). Chinese Taipei athletes won total 15 medals ( 6 G, 7 S, 2 B) to finish on the runner up position while India ended on the 3rd place with 14 medals ( 5 G, 5 S, 4 B) .

Sweltering heat and humidity of Bangkok city didn’t deter athletes from setting some remarkable distances and timings. As many as 18 new championship records were set during 4 days of competition ( May 20-23) out of which 11 were set by Chinese athletes.
