After a long time in quarantine, it is finally happened, the 4th Asian U18 Athletics Championships.
Kuwait is hosting the Youth Championship 2022 with the participation of around 400 athletes and staff from 30 Asian Countries.
Today, on October 13, 4th Asian U18 Athletics Championships was started, and the opening ceremony of the championship was held at the Ahmed Al Rashdan Track & Field Stadium, it should be mentioned that then stadium is certified according to international standards.
Athletes and guests from all countries were motivated by opening message of Gen.Dahlan Al Hamad. Further, President of Kuwait Olympic Committee – Sheikh Fahad Nasser Al-Sabah declared the 4th Asian Youth Athletics Championships opened.
Young athletes will compete in 40 athletics sports, 20 for boys and 20 for girls: ranging from the 100m sprint, high jump, boys’ decathlon, and girls’ heptathlon. Each of them is ready to show what they are capable of.
It is worth noting that on the first day of the competition, before the opening ceremony, the winners in some events were determined at the morning session.
The girls were the first in race walking at a distance of 5000 m, where Sabrina Arziyeva, a representative from Kazakhstan, became the winner with a result of 27:35:44, while athlete from Jordan, Maryam Al-Qaimary finished behind her and took second place.
Also, without qualifying stages, the winners in the hammer throw were determined. The best among juniors under 18 was Kim Taehui from South Korea with a score of 59.24. But the second and third places were taken by representatives from Iran, Melika Norouzi and Mahdis Minaei Pour with the results of 57.85 and 54.02, respectively.
After the opening ceremony, the athletes returned to prepare for the competition, however, some athletes were even able to determine the winners in their disciplines.
Among the girls, in the long jump there was no equal to Davronova Sharifa who is member of Uzbekistan national team. Her result was 6.06 m, and athletes on 2nd (Mubssina Mohamm (IND) and 3rd (Wai Yin Jia (HKG) places have shown impressive result, such as 5.91 m and 5.81 m respectively

3) Siddharth Choudhary (IND) – 19.00On the first day of competition, there were identified the winners in running for 1500m distance; where Amit Chaudhry from India finished with result and got 1st place among boys, while Nguyen Khanh Linh from Vietnam was the fastest among girls and has shown the result of 4:51.61
Moreover, during the day, qualifying stages for sprint distances among boys and girls, as well as the first five stages of the decathlon, were held. Who will become the strongest in their sports, we will find out in the coming days.
