On January 11, the first East Asian Athletics Association (” EAAA “) Congress was successfully held online. The meeting was attended by AAA President Gen. Dahlan, AAA Secretary General Mr. Shuggu and delegates of eight member federations in East Asia. The meeting deliberated and approved the EAAA Constitution, elected the first Council, and declared the establishment of the Association.
Ms. Wang Nan, Vice President of Chinese Athletics Association, was unanimously elected as the first president of EAAA. The Congress of EAAA was composed of eight members from eight member federations in East Asia.
President Dahlan congratulated on the establishment of the EAAA and the successful opening of the first Congress, and affirm the positive role of East Asia in the development of athletics in Asia.
Ms. WANG Nan expressed gratitude to the member federations for their support and sent New Year wishes to all member federations. Ms. WANG Nan said that she will do her best to serve the member federations, work closely with the council members, strengthen communication, increase mutual understanding and jointly promote the development of athletics in East Asia.
